Aelmor

This sleepy little village straddles the Long Road, with rows of homes and businesses on either side of the trade route. Noteworthy establishments include a rustic inn called the Gilded Horseshoe and a friendly festhall called the Gambling Golem, where card games and a local marbles game known as scattershields are popular. Off in the distance, one can see horses and herds of cattle on sprawling ranches.
Monsters or brigands sometimes mistake Aelmor for easy pickings - unaware that a family of powerful human wizards, the Holte family, lives nearby. Their grand house, Ivy Mansion, lies north of Aelmor at the end of a long, winding path. The Holte family founded the village but take no part in its government, preferring to live quietly on their estate. Magical wards placed throughout Aelmor and the Ivy Mansion warn the Holte family when trouble's afoot.
