Nolharian Tribes

Nolharians are the only humans that can live in the far north, they are taller, stronger, and all of them have the capacity to use magic being first-rate users and mages. They have a warrior culture, as they face dangerous creatures that dont live in south. There is no united goverment, they are separated in different tribes each one with their leader.   Nolharian tribes dont figth each other, as it is a waste of live and honor as they see it. So problems are resolved by duels, most of them dont end in death, but some do. Almost all nolharians live in the far north, only some go south, most of them are exiles from the tribes due to crimes, the rest are traders who enchange goods for food or other valuable goods.   Now nolharians are concerned, Something is happening in the north past their borders, the natural magic is almost gone there, and with the passing of the years the natural near their borders is also dissappearing, the elders the tribes are arguing on what to do.

History

Since the creation of the world humans were across all Gelathur, but due to the climate, ennathian presence and dangerous beast, most went south in what would be later the Empire of Gel. However there were some that settled in the north, at first the conditions were a bit harsh, but with the passing of time the humans adapted, they became taller, stronger and more resiliant than any other human and what today form the Nolharian tribes.   The first tribes lived in the southmost part of the peninsula, mainly on the coastline to benefit from fishing and easier acess to water. Here is also where the older tribes are settled currently although some started going north, claiming more land with the increase in population. Some tribes splinter into smaller ones to easy management and dont burden the land with too many population in one place. The first major settlement was Midgard, and is considered the place for the tribes to meet each other, different tribes with it's clans have some of their people in Midgard, as well as clanless people living also in Midgard.   With the increase of population and the expansion into the north, the nolharians also traveled south by ship, as the ennathian tribes lived settled in the south the Nolharians did not expand there, but some ennathians tribes were more friendly and were willing to trade, the nolharian traded goods for food or other valuable goods, bartering as neither the nolharians or the ennathians had a currency. Later when the Empire started expanding in those regions, and when the city states gained independance, the nolharians trade with them.   In the lastest years, the nolharians have started to become concerned, the expanded far north, where very few creatures and beast remain. The can still expand south into the continent outside the peninsula but their concern is in the north. They have notice that in the passing of the years, the natural magic has dissapeared almost completly in the northern parts outside their borders. Something is happening in the north, and the elders of the tribes are arguing on what to do.

Agriculture & Industry

Nolharians live in lands that dont allow for much farming, the only farming they do is inside big buildings and supported by magic cristals to grow plants inside, mainly tubers and cereal grain both resistant to cold. Each of these buildings would span dozens of metres, and each would only produce one type of crop. From the cereal grain nolharians make bread and beer, while the tubers would be used and cooked in different fashions to provide nutrients. To aid in their nutriticion and make it have more viariety nolharians also went fishing, and maintain herd or Noloxen. From the noloxen they would obtain milk, for drinking and for making cheese, as well as meat and wool as well as fur for clothing.   Apart from these products, the nolharians also craft items and tools from different sources of material.

Trade & Transport

In their first trades with the ennathians, they trade food and crafted items in exchange for other types of good and other items or tools they found interesting. When the Empire setted in, and then the City states gained independance they trade with them. Apart from the same trades as with the ennathians, the City states and the Empire also want to trade noloxen as they really wanted a domesticated animal that didnt need to be fed. Nolharians in the end accepted to trade some Noloxen for great quantities of foods and some substances that made growning plants easier that the Empire had developed.   In terms of transportation, nolharians used male noloxen to pull carts and wagons around in land, they also used ships for fishing, trading and transport of goods and people.
