Imperials

Imperials are the standard, central currency of the Imperium of Karadia. It serve as a common accounting measure and is easily exchangeable into any existing currency of both vassal nations of the Imperium and foreign powers. Any attempts to counterfeit this currency are dealt with extremely harshly. This, together with a number of laws (that restrict even the Grand Emperors) and supposed divine providence over those coins, makes the imperials a rare example of almost perfect stability over the ages, making it a preferred mean of monetary exchange between banks and merchant companies.   The coin itself was initially created by by the Imperial Gods during the Dawn War to serve as unified currency of their Imperium. Obviously, it is believed that Capital, the god of trade, banking and economy was the main power behind its creation. Many elements of the new currency were 'borrowed' from pre-Dawn War imperial currency, that in turn originated in Imperium of Menoria.   Another important influence was the Itavian' currency. The Imperium has inherited the Republic (and then the Empire) penchant for commerative emissions. Each newly minted coins have their own unique graphic design, commemorating things like ascensions of a new emperor, a victory in battle, new discoveries etc. Each new emission happens according to a divine will - there is an artifact made by Capital' himself, forever anchored in the Imperial Ministry of Economy' headquarters that continuously inform the imperial administration on how many new coins need to be minted to replace those lost without changing the currency value.   While coins are made of precious (or not) metals, this isn't their only source of value. Especially the higher tiers of coins are also 'secured' with various imperial assets.
Raw materials & Components
Imperials are minted from several metals, which determines the coin' value. The tiers are as follow:   Copper [1], Bronze [10], Silver [50], Electrum [100], Gold [250] --> This coins are relatively common in use, and are typically used to pay for goods, from meals to houses.   Aluminum [1000], Platinum [2500], Iridium [5000], White Gold [10000] --> This coins are almost exclusively use in large scale trade. They tend to be a bit bigger than common use coins, and tend to be exquisitely decorated.   Black Gold [50000], True Silver [150 000] and Kalkovium Crystals [500 000] --> This coins almost do not exist. They tend to serve as 'compressed' form of national treasuries, but each of them tends to be minted per demand.   Rarely emissions from different metals happened, for example rose gold or various forms of crystals.
