Fire Magic in Gates of Eternity | World Anvil

Fire Magic

Fire Magic in infamous in a way, mainly due to oftenly being a first choice of reckless magicians, that tend to think before they act. Not to mention that after starting fire, it can can easily spread, making it sometimes cause much more damage that was anticipated. This is a somewhat hurtful stereotype, as fire magic is also a second choice of many magicians (many of them not even elementalists). It can be learned relatively easily, making it a quite useful in terms of self defense.   Normal flames produced by fire magic are red/orange and are capable of dealing quite decent damage, not to mention setting in fire sufficiently flammable materials (the fire caused by magic isn't that hard to put out, but before that happens, there will still be some damage caused). There are, however, stronger types of fire magic, which require either an unparalled talent or focus on fire magic to learn.

Subschools of Fire Magic
Whitefire Magic [SP] - Known also as Pureflame Magic, whitefire magic is a much more powerful version of fire magic that uses immense ammounts of power to greatly increase the temperature of the flame, giving it a white, nearly blinding colour. Most of spells here are just a copies of this from normal Fire Magic, simply much more powerful and destructive... while also having much greater power requirements.

Bluefire Magic [SP] - Known also as Scorching Magic, bluefire magic is a much more powerful version of fire magic, even stronger and more destructive than whitefire magic. Achieved through even further increase of temperature of the flame. Due to its immense power and the fact that it is extremely hard to control, bluefire magic is a rather rare sight in the Imperium, with most of its users being Awakened or at the very least archmagicians. In terms of destructive power it is classified only a bit behind Void Magic, capable of melting even antegnit armors.
