Chhaya Bal ((Cha-a bull))

A non-contact sport or game - anything from carriage racing to golf!   Chhaya Bal is a very popular sport in Garda that's similar to football but the main feature of the game is that people aren't allowed to touch the ball with their hands or feet and can only move it through magic. In the game there's three different poles, two smaller poles and one large pole. Each pole has a hole at the top of the pole and the aim of the game is to shoot the ball through one of these holes to gain points.     The main rules of the game go like this:
  • No moving the ball with your hands or feet, only magic
  • No hitting anyone with your magic, only the ball
  • If the ball goes out of the arena it is the other teams ball
  • It can played as 2 v 2 or as a team of 2-5.
  • No hitting other people with the ball
  • If you hit through the hole of the smaller pole, you get 5 pts, if you hit through the taller pole you get 10 pts
  • First team or person to win more points before the time runs out wins.
  • Have fun!

History

The sport originated from the Moon Kingdom after someone came up with the idea of a version of football where instead of using your feet, they'd use their shadow magic to play. It got pretty popular over the years and people from other kingdom began creating their own versions of the game, but instead of using shadow magic (since other kingdom's can't perform that kind of magic) they evolved it to just using any kind of magic, just as long as the person doesn't touch the ball with their hands or feet. The sport increased in popularity over time and is now one of the most popular sports in Garda.
