The Sel'Imar
A temple in truth most Sel'Imars are actually known for being places of healing and are often gone to above official places of healing. Though Sel'Imars are not officially trained all followers of a temple are trained in some kind of healing art. Each temple usually has a specially from surgery to small ailments to plagues though plague temples are often highly symbolic until they become over crowded when breakouts happen. The only plague that has effected Mandor being the Death for the last couple millennia.
Purpose / Function
Originally temples of Sel were places of learning were the secrets of healing could be exchanged and vows of no harm could be taken, prying to the goddess fro health chief among its purposes. However as people came to know healers would congregate there, soon to did the sick or ailed and the temples have become places to learn to ply ones trade as a healer before being accepted into a hospital or healing practice. These services are free and so not garnering one will get a qualified healer.
Entries
All Sel'Imars will have at lease if not more than five doors, the main entrance in which one most properly clean themselves before entry. The door leading to the rest of the temple exclusive to practitioners and their charges. A door leading to a specialty room were more radical treatments can be done, such as surgery. A door leading to a secondary shrine for Bos, god of learning, often mirror the near by shrine for him where a room for Sel can be found. Lastly the mortuary, though there is a door through the main hall there is often also an outside entrance to this room. A small depiction of the goddess Isb often adorns this door to tell people its purpose.
Sensory & Appearance
Almost all Sel'Imars smell strongly of over blood or sick.
Valuables
Sel'Imars only valuables can be found in their medicine and medical equipment. No Sel'Imar will be found with precious medal or stones unless for healing purposes. It is forbidden to pay or donate to a Sel'Imar with these things or spices, though herbs are accepted if they have medical properties.
Special Properties
All Sel'Imars are built with their healing props in mind so often they will look wildly different. Each with properties meant to aid the sick or injured in its walls.
Alterations
Most Sel'Imars now have cots or beds lining the halls leading to Sel's shrine and depending on the temples specialty the corresponding medications and equipment.
Architecture
Most Sel'Imar are plain on the outside with a high base so as to avoid flooding, and a requirement to remove dirty things in an anti chamber before the shrine entrance. There are always to Pilars at the entrance to a shrine done in the same material as the building one depicts Sel on the left she is plying that temples trade, while on the right Bos her companion and god of Learning sits writing down what she orates to him. Other architectural features change between temples.
History
Next to Sel'Imars or visa versa a temple of Isb will often appear connected by a mortuary or cemetery.
