Warp Dragon

Of all the dragons, the Warp Dragon is the most feared, even by the gods.

The Twins joined together
For the first and last time since birth
They made a new dragon there
A dragon of great girth

A dragon that bent space
A dragon that bent time
Moving faster than light from the place
And took allies to the battle in a tenth of the time

The warp dragon is the rarest of all the types of dragons. Created only for the short time the Draconic Twins were working together during the Divine Civil War, warp dragons had the ability to move massive numbers of troops very quickly. Only a few hundred were created, and even fewer survived the war. Unable to reproduce, the only warp dragons left are all ancient and thus at their most powerful.
Most Warp Dragon lairs are small because all of the hoarded treasure is stored in warped pockets of space. Warp dragons often do not work alone due to the nature of their created purpose. Instead, many become leaders of some sort, whether a leader of slaves, a leader of villains, or even a leader of a nation.
Their breath is a beam of warped space; Anything caught in it is quickly and repeatedly stretched and crushed. It can warp space around itself to redirect projectiles and magic away from itself. It can also make a quick and rapid escape using its warp abilities. Warp dragons are purple with a boomerang-shaped extension horizontally on the end of the tail and vertically on the head, with one half on the nose and the other half under the chin.
Warp dragons are extremely difficult but not necessarily impossible to kill. It would take a group of legendary warriors to take even a single one down.

Note: The universe of Galvarin takes place in one plane. The gods made a series of "highways" where space was permanently contracted to travel faster than light through. However, they were easy to set up an ambush on, especially during the time of war that the Warp Dragon was created in.
