"Lizardfolk" is truly a catch-all term for a grouping of tangentially related species. During the transformation of Gaizha, various groups of reptiles were subject to concentrated blasts of Anadus's power, causing them to evolve into sapient races. Various species, ranging from crocodile-like lizards to desert snakes were uplifted by Anadus's power, creating different groups of Lizardfolk. Oddly, Lizardfolk can breed with other kinds, even though their ancestor species are completely unrelated.   Various groups of Lizardfolk exist, from the powerful nomadic Kemhandok from the Gish Freehills, to the sneaky assassin caste of Mensala in the southeast Gashk territories.

Basic Information

Anatomy & Morphology

Most Lizardfolk have at least two arms. Many species have two legs as well, although certain Lizardfolk who came from evolved snakes keep their tails and have no legs. All Lizardfolk have scales of various shape, quality, and color adorning their body.

Genetics and Reproduction

Lizardfolk reproduce sexually, similarly to humans, although females will lay eggs in groups of three to six rather than giving birth like mammalian humans.

Growth Rate & Stages

After birth, Lizardfolk mature quite similarly to humans, growing up in easily quantifiable stages of infancy, adolescence, young adulthood, and adulthood. Lizardfolk live a bit less than humans do, usually living 60 years and at most, 95.

Biological Cycle

Lizardfolk are cold-blooded, and have to move around frequently to regulate their body temperature. As such, many kinds of Lizardfolk are nomadic, moving from area to area to continue to regulate temperature. Some more sedentary Lizardfolk structure their cities and towns to have ample spots for any kind of temperature regulation.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Lizardfolk have a natural tendency for talented healers, and many warrior Lizardfolk arm themselves with muscle-enhancing healing enchantments.
