Gaea

This world lives parallel with the human world, another dimension one would say, one that has doors and tears and thin veils so that anything can travel between worlds provided they know the way. Animals and plants frequently do this, so human and Gaean worlds have pretty much the same flora and fauna.   Not very many humans know of Gaean's existence (maybe 30/100 people to give you a percentage), but throughout the course of history, humans have known of them through legends and myths. British Isles and Ireland knew them as the "Fae" the Norsemen knew them as "Elves" and so forth. Gaeans and humans have always bred with each other, so it's no surprise to see a half human walking around.   Modern translations of such tales paint those creatures very differently from what Gaeans actually look. Gaeans can live for thousands of years, come in all colors of the rainbow including brown (like tree bark or soil), black (like tar, very few in number now-a-days), and white (like paper; a dead race some four thousand years ago). They have long prehensile tails, long toes, pointed ears, and are genderless hermaphrodites.   Gaeans didn't want to be separated from humans, but humans were in their infancy when Gaean were already in the stars, so the ancients thought it best to not interfere and so made a "new" world, (think of it as two bedrooms in the same home). But with the rise of monotheism, Gaeans began to be seen as demons and evil beings (as many are a "hellish" red), so the further ostracized themselves from humankind.   With the Gaeans, ancient cities like Atlantis, the original Avalon, parts of Babylon, and many other ancient and lost cities left. With the cities went dragons, hippogryphs, and most gods. Yes, the gods are real. From Zeus to Odin, Anansi the spider to Shiva, and from Anubis to Xibalba, and so on. Gaeans worship them all.   The geography is very similar to Earth, with tweaks here and there to their liking. Places rearranged, islands moved, forests expanded to fit the mysterious race of the Archne (kind like spider centaurs), to the massive island chains where Atlantis is capital to fit the Atlanteans (a race of Gaeans with webbed hands and feet and poisonous barbs at the end of their tails).   My stories will center on the royal family, the Anaya's (or Anayan's). The current Queen Ezra (Lazarus) and his love Milo Ren (Mei Ying Tzu). The First Prince Teresa and her wedded/mate Alexandrite Stripple with their identical twin children Polaris and Solaris. Later (~125 yrs later) Polaris births twins of his own Nyx and Dawn. Fours years after that, Solaris births identical triplets Pluto, Neptune, and Jupiter.   I'm hoping each eventual book will cover each generation.
