The city of
Birdencaster is made up of five Zones. The central Zone,
Zone 1, and the other four rings are around it. Each zone apart from
Zone 1 have residential quarters, some don't have residential quarters as it is seen as too small and is designated as entertainment.
Each of the zones that do have housing are often apartments.
Zone 2 are the most luxurious while
Zone 3 is the most impoverished and
Zone 5 is the noisiest, as it is the transportation Zone. All of the living accommodations have rooms that can be conjoined such as the kitchen, living room and dining room areas.
Each residence has a storeroom to be able to keep canned products among other items needed to survive or participate in their
Craft Job.
Below are the description of each design housing and how is living there.
The Zones
Zone 2, has a luxurious housing as they don’t share the building with anything that is not residential they tend to live on more than one floor and sometimes, however, with higher rent will have the kitchen, living room and dining room separately.
Zone 3
Zone 3, is the most impoverished. If not living above a hardware store in 3 4, your apartment block with being huddled among others giving the vibe that it is impoverished. Residences of this area, do not have the space or the money for both a living room and a dining room so will pick only one, this is normally a dining area. Their storage areas tend to be long and straight rather than a square shape for the others.
Residences of
Zone 4 who live in either in houses or in apartments may have garden areas in the front of the entrances to their homes. Those who don’t have this feature will instead find that they walk onto the street markets. Those who live above stores will often not be the shopkeeper or an employee.
Zone 4 residents will tend to have a small living room area, but will either choose to make it bigger by not having a dining room.
If the apartment block or the home has its back to a railway line, two things will be apparent, one that there will not be a garden and two that whenever a train goes but the building will shake slightly. It is understood by the residents that windows facing the railway line also should be shut to reduce the level of noise coming with the moving parts of the train.
With the inside of the home, the dining area and living are about the same size and while some might want to increase one over the other this isn’t always necessary.
