LocuSwitcher

The LocuSwitcher is a device that is capable of instantly switching the location of two human beings. The user must be within sight of the person being switched. The two people switching, including clothes and the device but discluding any held items, switch entirely and face the way that the other person was just facing. Each LocuSwitcher is linked to a user, and only that user can operate the device until the link is broken or the user dies. There are only five real LocuSwitchers on Atolseptia, one for the president and one for each delegate, and three prototypes. The device is usually used when a person is about to die and switching places with another person will save them.

Access & Availability

Only the leaders of the Failsafe Program have access to the LocuSwitchers, but the scientists that work for the Program are allowed to use them in testing.

Complexity

The LocuSwitcher is a small metal cylinder that had a 5 cm diameter and is 2 cm tall. On the top of the device is a small green circular button that links the user to the device. There is a strip along the side that flashes green when the device is being used.

Discovery

The LocuSwitcher was first built by the Failsafe Program so that they would be able to either get into places they needed to or save themselves from precarious situations.
