Nearly 2000 years ago, Rhogar of Aussirkitril III, King of the Dragonborn nation of Aussirech, sought to expand his empire to encompass all of the Continent of Arken, sparking war and upheaval across the continent. In his madness, he sought the power of Ancient Elven Technology, and nearly destroyed the material plane. It fell upon six mortal champions, who came to be known as the Six Heralds of Twilight, to save the plane of Uliterr from destruction. Using a secret druidic ritual, they ascended to divinity at the Shadespire, and bound their newly divine souls to a magical barrier that would protect Uliterr from destruction for all eternity.   In 4860 PVB, the continent of Arken is in a period of relative peace. Numerous technological advancements, such as the rapid improvement of firearms and the development of Locomotive trains, as well as prospering trade agreements with the distant continent of Ildoresh, have lead to period of economic prosperity.   Still, the scars left behind by Rhogar III run deep, and even now they threaten to reopen and bleed the land once again. The Peace treaty holding the nations of Arken together seems to grow more fragile by the day, and the nations leaders have begun to arm themselves for the next conflict. At the same time, dangerous Ancient Elven technology continuous to be unearthed in the elven homeland, leading many to worry if Rhogar's actions will repeat themselves.
