Tibetan Species | Тибетские расы

The Tibetan races are a subgroup of Inhumans who appeared in the largest mountain range on Earth. Koecoeurs and oliphants originate precisely in the Himalayas, this is confirmed by many cultural and religious similarities of the species. "Tibetans" began to settle in Asia seven thousand years ago, and closer to the change of eras, the representatives of these species either disappeared, or were exterminated, or lived at a great distance from people.

Коэкёры и олифанты берут своё начало именно в Гималаях, это подтверждается многими культурными и религиозными сходствами видов. "Тибетцы" начали расселяться по Азии ещё семь тысяч лет назад, а ближе к смене эпох преставители этих видов либо поисчезали, либо были истреблены, либо жили на огромном отдалении от людей.

Oliphants

Oliphants are elephant-like, bipedal, upright-walking Inhumans, the first to leave the mountains. Elephants generally feel bad in the mountains, although, probably, their ancestors looked completely different. Oliphants built, perhaps, the first real urban civilization in history: the settlements of the so-called "Indus River Valley Civilization" had no equal in the ancient world, even Jericho of the Awi did couldn't hold a candle to it. They had it all: a waste disposal system, planned construction, advanced irrigation - the oliphants achieved all of this even before all Serpentites died out.

Олифанты - это слонообразные двуногие прямоходящие Нелюди, первые покинувшие горы. Слонам вообще плохо в горах, хотя, вероятно, их предки выглядели совершенно иначе. Олифанты постоили, пожалуй, первую настоящую городскую цивилизацию в истории: поселениям так называемой "Цивилизации долины реки Инд" не было равных в древнем мире, даже Авийский Иерихон не дотягивал. However, this is all we know about them. When the Indo-European tribes arrived in India, they saw only ruins: no seething civilization, no cities teeming with elephants, no luxurious harvests. Oliphants seemed to have sunk into oblivion. At least that was the case until 2018, when an American-Indian expedition, which included several members of the Fringe Society, discovered a primitive society of oliphants on one of the micro-islands in the Indian Ocean. How they got there - only gods know, but the mystery of oliphant culture in our time is the main trend of the Society.

Koecoeurs

Koecoeurs are the more anthropoid species of Tibetan Inhumans, formed around the influence of various elements. They have many names and divisions, but the Fringe Society prefers to divide them into four groups: Flame, Storm, Tide, and Iron. Each corresponds to the main magic element - fire, air, water and earth.

Коэкёры - это более антропоидные тибетские Нелюди, сформировавшиеся вокруг влияния различных стихий. У них есть много названий и подразделений, но Общество Грани предпочитает разделять их на четыре группы: Пламенные, Штормовые, Приливные и Железные. Каждая соответствует основной магической стихии - огню, воздуху, воде и земле.

Flame

Flaming Koecoeurs are red and gray-skinned creatures that can easily withstand both extreme heat and extreme cold. They are best adapted to live in places with a harsh continental climate. Of all the Koecoeurs, they were most associated with the people around whom they lived. They, like most of their relatives, were a sedentary people: they were engaged in agriculture, fishing and occasionally hunting. In ancient times, the Flaming Ones were settled across Asia from the Mesopotamian city of Elam across the Great Steppe all the way to Altai. Subsequently, the migration of the Indo-Europeans divided this halo of habitation in the middle, and the Mesopotamian Coekers were separated from the Central Asian ones. In subsequent periods of history, only the latter progressed: what happened to the representatives of the species in Mesopotamia is unknown.

Лучше всего они приспособлены жить в местах с резко-континентальным климатом. Изо всех коэкёров они больше всего были связаны с людьми, вокруг которых жили. Они, как и большинство своих сородичей, были народом оседлым: занимались земледелием, рыбалкой и изредка охотой. В древние времена Пламенные были расселены по Азии от месопотамского города Элам через Великую Степь аж до Алтая. Впоследствие миграции индоевропейцев разделили этот ореол обитания посередине, и месопотамские коэкёры оказались отделены от центральноазиатских. В дальнейшие периоды истории прогрессировали лишь последние: что случилось с представителями вида в Междуречье - неизвестно.

Although the Koecoeurs tried to stay away from humans and other non-human races, all of these species came to the Koecoeurs themselves. In the Middle Ages, the Flaming Ones became the basis of Khorezm, and were later conquered by Genghis Khan. Since then, the main population of the fire Koecoeurs has concentrated around Bukhara and Samarkand, as well as in Altai and Xinjiang. Not having a strong religion of their own, they easily converted to Islam. The Flaming Ones are still alive, living in the south of Kazakhstan and in the deserts of Turkmenistan. They still try to live in separate groups, away from humanity.

Несмотря на то, что коэкёры старались сторониться людей и других Нелюдских рас, все эти виды пришли к коэкёрам сами. В Средневековье Пламенные стали основой Хорезма, а позднее были завоёваны Чингисханом. С тех пор основное население коэкёров огня сконцентрировалось вокруг Бухары и Самарканда, а также на Алтае и Синцзяне. Не обладавшие сильной собственной религией, они легко обратились в Ислам. Пламенные живы до сих пор, обитая на юге Казахстана и в пустынях Туркменистана. Они всё также стараются жить отдельными группами, подальше от человечества.

Storm

The Koecoeurs of Storm were the only species of their family that did not leave the Himalayas. They have rather light, but strong bodies and very loose morals. They settled mainly in the highlands. They did not have their own civilization, as well as a strong religion, so Buddhism quickly spread among them. Monks in yellow robes living in remote monasteries - this is just about them. Unfortunately, about them, the eternal struggle with the insatiable Han Chinese from China: the extermination of the Storms began in the 18th century and reached the level of full-fledged genocide in the 20th century.

Штормовые коэкёры были единственным видом своей семьи, не покинувшим Гималаи. Отличаются достаточно лёгкими, но крепкими телами и переменчивыми нравами. Они расселялись, в основном, в высокогорьях. Собственной цивилизации у них не было, как и крепкой религии, поэтому буддизм быстро распространился среди них. Монахи в жёлтых робах, живущие в отдалённых монастырях - это, как раз, про них. Про них же, к сожалению, вечная борьба с ненасытными ханьцами из Китая: истребление Штормовых началось в XVIII веке и достигло уровня полноценного геноцида в веке XX.

Iron

The Iron Koecoeurs, or land Koecoeurs, were the finest farmers in the entire species family. Down to earth, long living, serious and disciplined, they lived for their labor. For thousands of years, they cultivated the land of China, until gradually the Han people began to take it away. Conflicts between the people and the Iron people happened once in several centuries, but each time the number of the Han people helped them cope and gnaw off another piece of land from the Koecoeurs. Gradually, the nonhumans began to be displaced to the south, until they were finally pinned to the shore during the Tang dynasty. In modern times, if the Iron ones remained, then it was definitely outside China and Taiwan, perhaps somewhere on the Polynesian islands, but they have not yet been discovered.

Железные коэкёры, или коэкёры земли были лучшими аграриями во всей видовой семье. Приземлённые, долго живущие, серьёзные и дисциплинированные, они жили ради своего труда. Тысячи лет они обрабатывали землю Китая, пока постепенно её не начали отбирать ханьцы. Конфликты между людьми и Железными происходили раз в несколько столетий, но каждый раз численность ханьцев помогала им справиться и отгрызть у коэкёров очередной клок земли. Постепенно нелюдей стали смещать на юг, пока окончательно не прижали к берегу во времена династии Тан. В современности если Железные и остались, то точно вне Китая и Тайваня, возможно, где-то на полинезийских островах, но обнаружить их пока что не удавалось.

Tide

Приливные

Koecoeurs of water are akin to the Peoples of the Sea: they can equally easily live both on the shore and in the water. They have a relaxed approach to life and a penchant for migration. The Tidal area of living changed almost every generation, but they rarely went beyond the triangle between the Moluccas, Cambodia and Vietnam. These Inhumans also tried to stay away from people, maintaining trade relations with them. The Tidal Ones lived in abundance and prospered almost always. The only moment in history when their numbers began to decline, rather than increase, was the arrival of Europeans on what they called the "Spice Islands". Unlike the local people, who easily surrendered themselves to the vassalage of aliens from the west, the Tidals rebelled - and paid the price: their weapons were not enough, and their magic was too weak to withstand first the strong Portuguese and Dutch ships, and later - the British iron monsters. However, the Koecoeurs of water survived and still exist.

Коэкёры воды сродни Народам Моря: одинаково легко могут жить как на берегу, так и непосредственно в воде. Они отличаются расслабленным подходом к жизни и склонности к миграциям. Ореол обитания Приливных менялся почти каждое поколение, но они редко выходили за пределы треугольника между Молуккских островов, Камбоджей и Вьетнамом. Этот вид нелюдей также старался держаться подальше от людей, поддерживая с ними торговые отношения. Приливные жили в достатке и процветали почти всегда. Единственный момент в истории, когда их численность начала падать, а не расти - прибытие европейцев на то, что они называли "Островами пряностей".
