Fringe-Speak | Наречие Грани
Fringe-speak encompasses terms that are used by the members of Fringe Society, including the time travelers. Most people upon encountering a term like that would think that it is somehow linked to something between academic sphere and fantasy fiction, a notion many Fringers laugh about but are quite comfortable of sustaining.
"Наречие Грани" - это просто набор терминов, коими пользуются члены Общества, включая путешественников во времени. Многие люди, встретив подобные слова в тексте, подумают, что это либо что-то академическое, либо фэнтезийное. А Граневикам то и нормально, они над такими выводами даже посмеиваются.
Vocabulary
Fringe-Speak is, in fact, just a number of terms in English, with many languages just importing them as is and/or adapting to their quirks of pronounciation. It started to develop some time before any Fringer had any idea to write them down, but as the Society started to expand with the invention and proliferation of Internet, a comprehensive dictionary was needed. It was written by a NYC-based elf that claims to have witnessed the Society from its inception. See the dictionary for the meaning of terms such as Localite, Diviner, Arcanist, Tombstone, Dendra, A Timer, Cast, Inh, Bowl, OOT, Inconseq, Romanite, Deepdiver, Spoiler and many others. The dictionary will expand in time.
Наречие, на самом деле, это набор терминов на английском. Остальные языки "импортируют" их и адаптируют под своё произношение. Наречие начало развиваться до того, как в Грани кто-то додумался записать эти термины. Однако с расширением Общества после изобретения и распространения интернета появилась нужда в полном словаре. Его написал нью-йоркский эльф, который утверждает, что наблюдал за Обществом с самого его зарождения. В словаре вы найдёте значения многих слов - на английском, но с объяснением и на русском языке тоже. Словарь будет расширен по ходу дела.
