Industry & Trade
Local Libete artisans create beadwork, cloth, sculpture, and furniture. They practice metalsmithing and jewelry smithing. The most famous local artist is Heiden the Muse, sculptor god with a body that appears carved from dark jasper.
Outlying farms grow grains and flowers for food, trade and cultural display. The most renowned brewers in the world are on the outskirts of Libete, where gnomes and halflings work together to perfect their craft.
Libete trades with the western Orc tribes who worship Marken the Beastmaster, the Kenta lands to the south, and Chalibeth settlements to the north and east.
Guilds and Factions
History
Libete's founding was the date which the current calendar is based on when the tribes of men and the family of the gods split in two. Therefore, Libete's founding is on the first day of Sanctuary in the year 1, the New Year's full moon when Grandfather Agwe settled his surviving family and followers in the plains after their expulsion from Kenta lands and trek through the desert.
Geography
The metropolis is built on solid grounds, and they feel tremors from the mountains on occasion. A wide river forms the western boundary with the orcs, restricting contact to well-regulated crossing points.
