Now exoplanet colonization has begun.   In exocolony 85172, society has split into two broad categories. Either you're a Planeteer, trying to build a better colony for EDEN (The Earth Defense and Economic Network), or you're a Belter, living in one of the scattered stations of the system's asteroid belt, and generally flipping the bird to society at large.   Despite claiming to be for freedom and self-sufficiency, EDEN will do anything in its power to ensure that the system remains under its control, a goal that most Planeteers are more than happy to assist in. The Belters resist EDEN's attempt to control them, but cannot survive without food from planetside and monthly FTL shipments from other colonies.   An uneasy peace exists for the moment, but radical elements in the belt are pushing for more autonomy, and more EDEN soldiers and colonists arrive monthly. It may only be a matter of time before tensions escalate into violence.
