Staff of Reina

One of the prominent figures of the The Circle of Magicians was a fey by the name of Reina. Reina was one of the most adamant about establishing regulations for the use of magic after the construction. She was a leader in forming the list of forbidden forms and uses of magic as well as the foundation for they fey government.    Reina was a master of enchanting, but she dabbled in several other forms, as did many of the members of the Circle. Enchanters often use a specialized tool, called a Runeshaper, which allows them to channel more potent magic with less risk and/or harm to their body. Reina crafted her runeshaper into a staff, larger and more beautiful than any other shaper created before. It was made of pure silver, decorated to appear wooden. At the top, the staff widened into a knot before quickly coming to a point. The bulge held an ancient rune said to be the source of her might.   Although the end of the Devil's Age saw the devils banished to the Realm of the Prosperous, may still feared their return or the rise of another powerful foe. When Reina died, her staff was believed to be too powerful to be left intact. It was split into four pieces, each to be hidden in one of the four regions. They say that the rune on the staff itself was so powerful that the image alone could paralyze someone. So the rune was erased from the memories of the world and has been guarded by the fey since.   Many have tried to reunite the staff or discover the ancient rune, but so far, none have succeeded. The discovery of either could accomplish great, or horrible, things.
