Demographics

Na-Chisalt places great importance in diplomatic arbitration and minimal military institutions.   The smoggy clan originated from an area that was equal parts mountainous and coastal. The clan sought rivers, streams and lakes to substitute for their old home.   From their multiple historical interactions with the northern communities, the smoggy cloud clan adopted and adapted many traditions.
After several decades wandering, resettling and forced evictions; the mixed descendants of the exiled cloud clans eventually settled around a cluster of tall hills piled on by river sediments over thousands of years.

Defences

Retaining Walls

A succession of ancient stone and turf fortifications at the base of the city-spaning tola. Its walls connect the main city to its inland outposts near Chuntu, Pirqa, Qaraywa, Allallanka and Ararankha through 5 long wall corridors.
The city's long and slithering footprint resembles the outline of a lizard. The river taking the place of the tail that regrows when cut off.
As a defensive structure, the wall was limitedly effective. Various groups who had attacked the city were able to penetrate it many times because its length made it difficult to defend with a limited garrison. The wall is also not sufficiently strong due to its hasty construction.

Industry & Trade

Capac Ñan

The city sits on the main antisuyu road. It heads toward the East and the lower valleys of the Great Green.   It is the least complete with the smallest number of registered vestiges, due in part, to the raids by the ghost people. By that same reason, Na-Chisalt's layout is unconventionally snake-like, as to make it harder for Ruruchina to bombard from the air.

Infrastructure

Elevated Ground

Tolas are piles of fertile dirt that were used as artificial farmland 1000 years ago.   Overtime, many of the largest cities expanded over old tolas; converting them into the foundation upon which they were built. This puts them out of range of the floods that occur every 50 years.
