The Lich-King Alai is a carnivorous person of some mystery. Though few have encountered King Alai and lived, their reputation is known far and wide, and their influence is why no one dares set foot in Metreth while they still reign.
A brutal autocrat, or so it is said, King Alai is loyal to his Council of The Dead which many claim is a room of severed heads from which he draws ancient wisdom.
