Sly Guard

The Sly Guard of Sargalle is highly skilled group of mages and warriors that provide security for members of the Ministry of Reassignment. Originally established under the Twelfth Court, their sole purpose was to act as personal bodyguards of the Primary Guardian of Sargalle. Since that time, their mission has been expanded to include providing protection for any member of the ministry while they are out and about in Sargalle. However, their chief duty is to protect the Primary Guardian at all costs.
Members are recruited from the top schools and training facilities across Fortis, but most of its members have historically come from the Twin Cities region. They are experts at covert operations and often appear as a group of revelers on the streets of Sargalle. No one outside of the ministry knows the true identity of either the ministry's many employees or the Sly Guards, since outside of the ministry's walls, they are always in either mundane or magical disguise and quite often both.
In the spirit of Sargalle, the Sly Guard enjoys participating in the festivities of the city as well. In this way, they are able to be the eyes and ears of the ministry in the streets and are used to monitor situations which concern the guardians. Often posing as street performers or vendors, they cast glamour and pleasure spells on visiting tourists and are able to greatly influence the behavior of those visiting the city as well as its citizens. For instance, if they would like to be one of a mob of fifty identical clownish faces, they are able to do so in a matter of seconds under the guise of a magic show or practical joke, with all of their assistants not only happily participating, but none the wiser as to what transpired.
