Beholden Waves

Geography

The ocean to the north of Formarion. The eastern part is controlled by the Drasea Empire. It heavily polices the usually rough sea with their extensive navy, making it a fairly safe space for merchant ships. It does levy heavy way tolls on every ship passing through though. This ocean is known for its rough seas, which makes each ship "beholden" to its wave, hence its name. The only big island in this ocean is the so called "Desolate Ranges".

Fauna & Flora

The Beholden Waves are known for its great sea anmials, since the rough waves and weather enfroce a certain physicality in its inhabitants. During the quieter phases of the sea huge whales can be seen beaching and giant turtles moving along the surface. There are even mentions of giant squid and other more rare sea creatures below its waves.
