Jhaan Relic was a human necromancer who roamed the countryside in search of arcane lore and potential students. Relic was once a Red Wizard of Thay, but now puts his efforts towards more noble goals. Loyalty and respect are very important to the wizard, but he also strongly believes that it should earned.

Personal history

In his youth, Jh'an Relic was a proud member of Thayan society. He idolized the Red Wizards and their limitless power; viewing them as the peak of what humanity could become. It took dozens of applications and many failed entrance exams, but Relic would eventually be accepted into their ranks. The years of practices turned into over a decade of study, but he eventually developed a talent for necromancy.
After graduation, Jh'an proved to be an effective agent for the Red Wizards, especially when tasked with diplomacy. Eventually, he was assigned to work as an emissary to House Blackheart in Waterdeep. His mission was to aid their leader, Nathalia Blackheart, in the development of their cult and provide guidance in all things arcane. In return, the Red Wizards would be have the Blackheart's support and access to their wealth and resources. Nathalia also asked for Jh'an to take her daughter Lilith on as an apprentice, to which he agreed.
