The Liberated Hand
History
With strong history and ties to Cormyr, it was one the last city to fall during the initial fight with the empire leading the charge that pushed the empire back to Tezir in year 1519 DR. However, as the leadership was slowly dealt with through less than noble means. The city soon fell to the storm giants and the empire. Being conquered, General Vandin a drow warrior was put in charge of the city. The city since its been conquered has been in constant turmoil. During the first few years, the city had nearly no crime but at the cost of a constant crackdown on insurrectionists who wanted freedom. Soon the Liberated hand, a terrorist group was formed attacking the monstrous and as they saw it, invading people often setting buildings on fire or planting explosives.
Gorudar Mukaz was one of the politicans surviving from the initial conquering and is an elder half-orc statesman. Having sent a letter to the Empress about the current state of the city. He was put in charge of the city in an attempt to assimilate the humans and new empire citizens. Since has taken over, while the city guard is still very high. Elversult has had less frequent riots. This is partially due to the citizens council that Gorudar has advise him on all matters.
Recently, even with the problems inside, it is believed that the constant border clashes with Cormyian soldiers signals a future war to come with the kingdom and causing an external threat to an already fragile city.
