Magic

Magic is a mystical means go beyond the natural way of things, whether its changing something or understanding something.  

Types of Magic

Seidr

Seidr is a means of changing the natural world by encouraging things to be or reading how they will be using the spinning of threads. Freya and Odin are associated with the act, although it is viewed unmanly, even for Odin.

Spae

Spae is the art of seeing the future through objects. Spaekona and Volva are the most common practitioners. It is a common practice on Midgard.

Galdr

Galdr is a form a magic where one sings or speaks in order to change existence. It is quite difficult to perform without training. The singing is usually done in falsetto.  

Faeda

Faeda is a magic usually practiced only by Elves but recently Dwarves have been practicing it too, possibly inspired by the Dark Elf.  

Sjonhverfing

Sjonhverfing means "sight altering" and it is a type of illusion magic.

Hamr

Hamr is the art of shape-shifting. It is a very difficult and powerful magic.

Marks

A Mark is a magical brand which gives one the magical abilities. They come from animal and plant spirits and are sometimes bestowed on humans when they die.

Tip

Almost every form of performing magic requires a Will save (KNOW+REASON).
