Plans Grow Against S.N.O.
General Summary
24th of Early Hollow, 1758
The party headed into the town of Surrive. Carcass found the Intrepid Palm as the perfect candidate boat to travel to Prageria. Rahas snooped around, poking for possible intrigue points. One thing in particular was a general store salesman receiving a shipment from S.N.O. into his shop. He found a hidden trapdoor, eager to see to it later.
The sound of rattling drums commences. It stops as horns sound their march for a blether troop to move out with a team of bleth harvesters. They head out of town marching to the beat.
The party follows the group to an encampment that harvests bleth. What they found at the heavily armed camp were a lot of guards. One figure that emerged was Estienne Voclain, Monsieur Savatier’s personal agent. Nivallen were also seen spying from the woods.
The party returned to Surrive at night, itching to investigate the general store. Inside, they found a private stash of cognac provided from S.N.O.. They then torched the cellar. In the morning, the locals believe it was caused by Monsieur LeClerc’s wife during a night of debauchery.
25th of Early Hollow, 1758
In the morning, Voclain rides past through town, heading for the Proprietor’s estate. The party snooped around, hoping to eavesdrop on what was going on. It turned out that the camp was taken out by the Kniferoses but something was different. They had used undead creatures and dark magic to do so. Curious, Savatier plans to regroup his strength and retaliate against them.
The party then got the idea of seeing the Kniferoses, curious to see what they had to say. Along the way there, they met up with Kordrus, an old childhood friend of Vassaryn’s. They eventually got caught up privately.
The party then met with the Kniferose elder with other members of the tribe ready in the trees. They explained that their former elder, Nelvkar, must have aligned with dark powers to thwart the Triumvirate. He and his followers were outcasted in hopes of preserving the grove and the surrounding natural life’s wellbeing.
The conflict between the Kniferoses and the settlers started when they pushed deeper into the woodlands, beyond the agreed upon zone of collection.
The party agreed to aid them and headed off back to Surrive. Though, night fell along the way there and the familiar dread from Divinterre came.
