The Workshop
A Place of Peace and Reflection
The Workshop is a tower of 27 floors built in the Isles of Ireland. The Erin Isles are largely unpopulated and were seen as the most appropriate place due to the emerald beauty of the location and seclusion from the rest of the world. The towers function has changed dramatically over the years but at present it is the base of operations for all Keymakers in the world. It is a place of learning and scholarship, a place of research and invention, and foremost a place where the key makers gather to praise the glory of The Locksmith and The Watchmaker, who originally built the Tower shortly before their disappearance. The two great minds use this tower has a place rest and quiet study as well as a place to create without interference. It was here that The Imbued were created along with automatons who were created to replace them.
Meditation and Ceremony
The key makers have long regarded both the locksmith and the watchmaker as almost religious figures, not gods, but worthy of praise as key makers follow in their footsteps in hopes of elevating intelligence and attaining a higher sense of being.
Those in the East often remark how similar the ceremonies are to those associated with The Buddha and how similar the ceremonies are to those of various Buddhist sects.
In fact, it is believed that the first key makers, who were from the Orient, brought their traditions to the workshop and overtime, allowed them to evolve.
Each floor is specifically designed to suit a particular purpose. The two great minds that built the workshop actively insured that the proper tools and materials were always available, there is even a City of Blue named Fethiradon within a mile of the tower. Airships and phase rails are seen approaching and exiting the dock stations that extend from the towers frame as many cone seeking wisdom, work, or to sell their new found wonders.

Parker's Garden.
Surrounding the workshop are extravagant and lush gardens that reach far in all directions. They serve as a place of meditation for any who venture to the tower itself. It features many works of art and also many inventions created all over the world to serve as inspiration for those who wander it's winding paths. Some of these inventions were created by The Locksmith and The Watchmaker, gathered from the many places they visited. These Gardens border the quantum fields under the blue city and are kept in pristine condition by those who meditate within and gardeners, automatons suited to the many jobs required of a gardener. Parker's Garden got its name long after the two great minds disappeared.Parker Pokets
Dr. Parker
was a scientist aboard The Delerium who invented a method of creating pocket spaces in reality that could be nearly infinite in size, but able to fit in the palm of your hand. While Dr. Parker was an expert on dimensional spaces his true passions stemmed to the world of insects. The man collected many rare species during his multiversal travels, and the garden that shares his name does much the same. Every few hours many areas of the garden will change as plants vanish from this reality and return to the reality they were taken from. A new plant will then replace it for the same period of time. This allows for new inspiration in a major change of scenery for those who wander the gardens at all hours. The machine that is responsible for this was designed by Dr. Parker, and is capable of scanning many different realities and isolating Flora to bring to the garden. It is also capable of focusing on different elements of Florida such as the climate that it prefers in the time of day or night should it be bioluminescent during night time hours. The gardens themselves have many different elements to them that can change the overall climate of a given area. Plants and also the visitors who study and admire them will find a suitable area that will be most comfortable for them based on what they are used to.
The Keymakers of the Workshop
The key makers have many ceremonies that they practice in the workshop. Anointing, for example, it's one of the strangest ceremonies, and involves casting Aether gas over ones workspace, as if to purify it.
The most famous ceremony that takes place in the workshop is that of canonization. Once a year, the workshop will hold a ceremony in the mezzanine that is meant to recognize the efforts of one individual and their work. It is effectively a graduation ceremony that allows one to fully become a key maker. Every keymaker at one point was a scientist or an inventor who created something new or improved upon someone else's work in such a way that it was deemed worthy.
Praise or Worship?
There's a very fine line between mediation and worship for many who witness the various ceremonies the key makers engage in. Many who come to the Tower and search of knowledge and with the goal of becoming a keymaker are turned off by this fact and refuse to even begin training, as both The Locksmith and The Watchmaker were agnostic and often looked down on religious groups. Both great minds chose their words with great care when talking to their pupils and to any who may misinterpret or misuse their words. Sometimes that we can refuse to answer questions as their theories would be considered a fact by those who listen.
It is likely that the two great minds would abhor the way the keymakers operate and be even more upset at the fact that they do so in their name. This fact is not lost on the keymakers in any way. The key makers are actually divided into several groups and some refuse to participate in practices that feel and look more religious in nature.
