The Mentor
Note: Due to the fact that the Fire and Fantasy novel isn't finished, let alone released, there's not much lore.
The leader of the Dead End Guild, regardless of situation, will always be called the Great Mentor. Even if a person with the mentor role has a name, it will be ignored and is not allowed to be publicly revealed. If someone reveals the name of the mentor, said mentor and person will be killed as soon as possible.
"All stolen items are taken to the Great Mentor, no excuses taken."Being the mentor of the Dead End Guild is quite a big responsibility to take, but it makes you a lot of gold. Guild members walking in and out, giving you rare and valuable items. You give them money, but you gain even more for selling the previously mentioned rare items to Fence owners. The origin of the name came the creator of the guild and the initial carrier of the title being a former mentor of martial arts. The first mentor was considered a teacher amongst members of the guild, teaching them what he once taught martial arts students. The reason the name of the Grand Mentor can't be revealed is because the first mentor didn't want anyone to figure out he was in charge of a big criminal organisation, who was responsible for thefts of some of the most important things in those days. When taking stolen things to sell, the Grand Mentor usually wears a disguise of some sort, though most of the times this isn't necessary, since most of the trades thy do are hidden away in places such as caves and in parts of towns that aren't visited much, even by lawmen. Although anyone can take the name of the role, no matter species, gender, age, or sexual preferences, it's mostly taken by human males in their 20s-40s.
