Rustia

The Rustia is a Protectorate with its Lord High Protector owing fealty to the Empire of Weil. The faith practiced within the Empire of Weil was the Church of Light at the time of Rustia's colonization. The Pope of the Church of Light faith resides within the Empire of Murg. Due to the Steinism Schism that happened roughly 200 years ago when Steinism Schism" href="/w/finster-hart-palecrusader/a/anton-hinuwe-herr-rustiastein-person">Anton HinUwe Herr Rustiastein, the ancestor of the current Lord High Protector of Rustia, wanted a divorce from a wife which the Pope would not grant, the Rustia have broken off religiously to form their own denomination of the Church of Light known as Steinism . This faith is similar to that of the Church of Light except instead of holding the Pope of the Church of Light as the Divinely Inspired Head of the Church that role is held by the reigning Lord High Protector of Rustia. The Protectorate of Rustia is a sovereign colony of the Empire of Weil, with its Lord High Protector owing fealty to the Emperor of Weil. The effects of the Steinism Schism has had a drastic effect throughout the Empire of Weil, having inspired a Weilian theologian name Kupen HinHansel Von Kustalden to openly challenge papal infallibility and other Church of Light Doctrines which has caused much of the Empire of Weil to have broken off religiously to form their own denomination of the Church of Light known as Word of Kupen Following. The Lord High Protector Anton HinAnton Exi Herr Rustiastein is free to govern Rustia as he sees fit as long as a levy of goblin slaves, Darkwood, preserved rations, and taxes on the conversion of precious metals to coinage are paid.
