Gaia

Gaia is a water world in the traditional sense. Made up of archipelagos and vast islands the sea is the main transport on Gaia. With imported and alien species of fish Gais had long made a name for itself as a lush breadbasket with its algae farms and fisheries renowned across the systems and making up a large amount of Gaia’s revenue. 
The people of Gaia are as numerous as they are diverse with a traveller often receiving culture shock when moving from isle to isle. From the aloof sailors of the algae farms to the vast metropolises of the cities few islands bear the same name or image.
Prominent among the isles and capital of the singularity is the isle of Moritica. Renowned for its wealth and beauty the isle is perhaps the highest concentration of wealth and power in Alpha Centuari with the various departments having their HQs there and it to said to even house the ai itself. In general the isle has tens of millions of souls and has earned the nick name “the thousand spires of Gaia.” Named after the many sky scrapers within the city.
