Law Bringer

Law Bringers are the police force of the Global Union. All Law Bringers are serving military personal that have been assigned to the achademy of Law and graduated. While the members of the Law Enforcement are technically a part of the military, they are considered 'non-active' and therefore, are not considered as belonging to a Host. Any individual that has served within the Union military can either be assigned to law enforcement, or request a transfer to it. May soldiers view a career as a Law Bringer as a retirement option from active service within the Union military.

Qualifications

For a recruit to become a Law Bringer they must graduate from the Academy of Law. The final exam to become a Law Bringer will largely determine what role is suitable for the recruit.

Payment & Reimbursement

All employment within the Union is either done for the Union itself, or for a Corperation, which in turn works at the behest of the Global Union. The Government determins what society requires in turns of goods and services and either produces them itself, or it offers the goods/services up to a corperation. Law Bringers are paid high-mid level rate of pay. This is in-line with many other vital roles within Union society, such at low-level MedTech.

Other Benefits

Law Bringers have a retirement age set for their profession, coupled with State Reimbursement. This is similar to the Earth equivalent of a pension scheme, except there are expectations of continued political support attached to payments. Law Bringers, while serving are permitted to jump ques at food and drink establishments. Their services are considered too important to waste waiting in line for things. Law Bringers above a level 2 status are permitted to gain Shwimwagen licences, and own a private Shwimwagen is they so desire.

Law Bringers are consider to be respected members of most parts of the community. It is generally seen as a noble profession.

History

Law Bringers have been a stabilising element within Union society since before the founding of the Union itself. Early attempts at creating a law enforcement service resulted in several militarized police forces clashing with the civilian militia. The Kenshu of the Imperial Pride of Araxis, led by Fithto Fulvian, passed a decree in 222 BU dissolving the early police force and creating the Law Bringer system.
