Titane

Titanes are mighty trees, similar in appearance to Redwood trees, although Titanes generally grow much larger, and are possessed by a moderate amount of psychic presence.

Anatomy

Titanes are massive coniferous trees, with wide-spreading root systems that often tangle and merge with those of other nearby trees. This networking allows the trees to merge their psychic presences into a larger consciousness.

Growth Rate & Stages

The Titanes grow in the same manner as any other tree, with the addition of a moderate psychic presence that grows with the tree and moderates its functions on a conscious level. If a Titane grows near another psychic tree, be it another Titane or not, their presences merge, freeing up a small portion of the combined presence to extend slightly beyond the bark and needles.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

When enough Titanes merge root systems with each other or with other psychic trees, they form a gestalt that can communicate with other races through dreams or trance states in the recievers. The more psychic trees of any type in the network, the stronger the signal becomes. The most notable recievers are the Larexii of the elves, who act as the guarantors of The Forest's will.
