Iden

Iden of House Vauxt, also known as Iden the Naturalist, was certainly the most influential scientist of her generation, if not the entire age. Though she did not invent life-forging, she refined many of its techniques and was the first to explore its application to animals.
Some of her better-known creations include the Iden's Swallow, a large blue-and-orange Hirundiniform bird capable of carrying notes and short letters, and the Geur, an unusual creature used by the dwarves as a riding and draft animal. But she is by far most famous for the creatures she derived from a handful of small, flightless dragons she encountered at an oasis far out in a great desert. Little did she know when she found them how much they would change elvish culture forever.

Not particularly concerned about appearance most of the time, preferring sturdy, practical clothing with lots of pockets. Some favored clothing colors include slate blue, pine green, and khaki. She will dress up for more formal occasions, but does not get excited about it.

Has a very good understanding of how animals work and operate, and after some study is able to decipher the meaning behind most species' behaviors. Not good at dealing with conflict, emotional, physical, or otherwise. Terrible fighter, does much better if she can rely on her cleverness more than physical strength or agility. Terrible with plants.

Tone and mannerisms shift noticeably depending on the situation, from very tight and formal with people she is trying to impress, to casual and open with her few close friends and family. Likes to sneak in back handed compliments to people she does not have respect for.
