Asuna Gorren
If there was ever a previous successor to Willow, in both diplomatic and combat acumen, my sister still would surpass them.Asuna Gorren is the current duchess of the Gorren Duchy. She inherited the title after her mother, Sadira Gorren, died at the age of sixty. At the time of her mother's passing, Asuna was only twenty-five. However, like all Gorren women, she was already prepared for the responsibility. She had spent her childhood becoming a master at swordplay and, being the eldest sister, was groomed to become the next duchess. Since becoming the duchess, Asuna has spent the last six years continuing the Gorren legacy as a fighter of justice and protecting those who cannot protect themselves. She is deeply devoted to her duchy and her people.
Appearance
Asuna is a human of medium build, only rising to five feet and nine inches. She has shoulder length, blonde hair and fair features. She does not have any distinguishing scars, a true testament to her skill as a swordswoman. However, the feature that most people notice when they first see Asuna is her eyes. A storm blue, her eyes have a penetrating feature that make most people crumble.Personality
While she was soft spoken as a child, she soon learned how to speak with authority relatively quickly. As an adult, despite her relatively thin frame, she has a dominate personality that can overwhelm most people. She hardly shows emotions, rather taking on a cold and calculating look that makes it impossible to discern how she is reacting to information being shared with her. However, the one thing she holds above all is her family. Should any family member be threatened, some believe she would tear the world to stop that threat. Should she reach that point, many believe that the only thing that would stop her is a direct order from Titus Redouria himself.Relationships

Elyria is the second in command in the Gorren family. Asuna trusts her word above all. Should anything befall Asuna, Elyria would be the obvious choice to succeed her as duchess.

The relationship between Asuna and Titus is slightly complicated. The two grew up together and due to the closeness of their families, grew close as children. As a king, Asuna thinks that Titus is the perfect king and often advises him. However, the strain in the relationship came when he fell in love with Lilia. Although she ultimately assented to the marriage, in her eyes, Titus was taking Lilia away from her duties to the people of her duchy, something held sacred to the Gorren family. Despite this, Asuna still has a high opinion of Titus.

Aliza was not Asuna's first choice when it came to the leader of Kethry Keep and the surrounding land. However, when Lilia married Titus, she had no choice. Asuna is especially hard on Aliza, always pushing her to get better. Aliza, for her part, idolizes her older sister.

When Lilia decided to marry Titus, it strained the relationship she had with Asuna. In Asuna's eyes, Lilia was abandoning her duties to the Gorren people. Asuna would have rather had their youngest sister, Aliza, marry Titus as she did not have direct responsibilities at that point.
