Mundari (Moon-dar-ee)

The Mundari are renowned the world over as glorious builders and architects. None outside of the dwarves of the mountains are capable of constructing buildings so prized and fawned over as the Mundari.

History

In ages past the Mundari were among the first humans to start building their own settlements from stone. Where their neighbors and allies fashioned huts of mud and sticks, the Mundari drug slabs of marble and granite from massive quarries in their homelands to build majestic homes. As time went on these stone homes turned into gleaming marble walls and towers that acted as a bulwark against an increasingly dangerous world.   As time went on, however, leaders came and went. The Mundari were exposed to wars and internal strife that saw their cities crumble and their people scatter to the other nations of the world. Today the Mundari have no nation, no lands. Despite this they can be found across the length and breadth of the known world either as a people or through the influence of their architectural genius.

Appearance

The Mundari traditional hail from costal regions and thus have a very tanned, occasionally tawny, skin tone with heights averaging around 5'6" to 5'10" and women standing slightly shorter then men. Black and darker hair colors are exceedingly common among Mundari though other colors are far from unheard of. They experience the full breadth of eye colors among their number but what makes the Mundari's eyes so special is the natural occurrence of glimmering golden eyes in many Mundari.

Fashion

At the height of their culture, the Mundari were as renowned for their taste in clothing as they were for their architecture. Since their fall, however, they have largely taken to adopting the dress of whatever nation and people they find themselves taken in by.   That is not to say that the Mundari Style is dead. While it is significantly less prominent, there are a number of Mundari that take great pride in the continued wearing of what they consider "traditional" garb. This usually consists of wraps of various mulit-colored cloths forming chest coverings and dresses. Often accompanied by jewelry of silvers and golds, especially braclets, anklets, and circlets.
