Jérémie is killed at the age of 19 from a fall to his balcony. It is believed to be a suicide, but...
The truth is, Jeremie was cheating on his girlfriend at the time, Ophélie with his childhood friend and lover, Virgil. The two had decided they wanted to run away together, but Jeremie would have to tell Ophélie the truth first. When he did, a massive fight between the two broke out, which resulted in Ophélie pushing Jeremie off of his balcony to his death. Ophélie never told the truth to anyone, and Jeremie's death was ruled a suicide. However he would not stay dead for long.

A strange man named Vahit would find Jeremie's corpse and use his powers to resurrect him into a beastly demonic creature known as a Shade.
