Scouting groups are sent to what would later be the Ghliteren Mountains for the first time.

A massive mountainous region is discovered north of the established maps at the time. Groups of adventurers and scouters are sent out to the region to investigate it.   After initially finding nothing of interest, people settle in regions at the base of the mountains. It's not until they scale of mountains themselves that they encounter a race of stout, snow fairing elves that have made the harsh cliff-sides their home.
