Alishiun (Human)

Alishiun commonly refers to humans who live in the region of A'ramel Alshiu along side the Desert Elf.

General Features

They visually they share many of the traits of the Desert Elves that live in the area, appearing to be of Indian, Egyptian or even Arabic descent. Typically they have dark complexions and dark hair and eye colors. You will very rarely encounter an Alishiun with blonde hair or blue eyes. They tend to be a lot shorter than the Desert Elves.

History

Unlike many elven-human relations, those of A'ramel Alshiu treated fae and humans as equals, and for many centuries, shared the name 'Alishun'. After merging with the Empire, the elves would be refereed to as Desert Elves, while humans kept their original 'Alishun' title.
As religion became more commonplace in A'ramel Alishiu the humans were pushed farther away from their equal status with the elves, and were pushed into poverty. While still sharing a lot of their culture and world views, the Alishuns as a whole are poorer than the average Desert Elf, and often turn to crime to compensate.
