Eldritch Hexblade
Hidden within the void sea rests a forge that is the only one of its kind. Any blade made by its fires and the hands of one knowledgeable of how to use it shall imbue the blade with concentrated void energy and bestow upon it a conscious mind and will of its own. Hexblades can take many forms of weaponry in accordance to how it would be forged by the smith but its appearance would shift and alter dependent on the nature of the being it becomes and some blades bear full shape shifting abilities though it must remain a weapon in some capacity.
The personality, instinct, and demeanor of a hexblade is determinant upon the Eldritch Gods upon its creation as upon the blades creation a spoken word from the gods is imprinted into it which forms the core of the elder thing's being. Due to their immobility hexblades require a wielder to who they may form a bond and serve as a conduit to the void magic of the eldritch realm or directly attune their wielder to their own void magic contained within. The personalities of hexblades can be as varied as any sentient beings but they share common traits in feeling an aversion to abandonment or being left idle and their goals will always pertain to the type of people they seek out to wield them. Hexblades to have preferences for wielders and may lead their current owners to an early grave on the chance they may be found and utilized by one they find more worthy.
Hexblades all appear to be familiar with one another as due to the abnormal way time is structured in the eldritch realm all hexblades had been present together at the same moment
Hexblades bear such a concentrate amount of void energy that rivals many of the more powerful of elder beings but are entrapped as being tools and weapons, there is still a sentient being with a will and mind within those weapons. I wonder if whatever process that seals all of that energy within a blade were to be undone, would the hexblade be killed? Would it explode into a blast of pure void energy? Would the energy and mind manifest into a new being altogether? I am not sure I could bring myself to try and subject one to the torture needed to test this theory - M.N.
