Ambervale

Ambervalle is a duchy ruled by Duchess Wengaillia. It sits at the edge of the kingdom of Barath against a large stretch of wilderness known as Falder Fell. Its aesthetic is somewhere between late middle ages and Victorian. Midnight Curio

A shop located on Black Street where Gavin Hollow will sell you magical and mechanical adventuring gear.

The Vulgar Mole Inn

The bar where all the explorers hangout. Annabelle runs the place and she's a very welcoming hostess.

House of Lords

A government body housed in the large building at the center of the city is where the wealthy elite decide upon laws that then go to the Duchess to be voted upon.

Castle Eastend

located in the north east side of the city is where duchess Wengailia resides with her family and retainers. The armory for the local militia and guard is also housed within.

Government

The local government is comprised of the duchess and the local House of Lords. Duchess has been appointed to her position from the King of Barath. She may propose law and amendments to be voted on by the House of Lords. The House of Lords is comprised of the top 5 percent of property owners in Ambervale. Members of the House of Lords may propose and amendments to be voted on but the duchess has final veto power. If bills and amendments pass in the House of Lords as well as with the duchess then they are put into law. Each year there is one general election in which every citizen is allowed two votes to suspend a member of the House of Lords for 5 years or overturn a law. If a member or law gets 10% of the votes then they are dismissed or overturned.
