The party arrives at Yartar. While most of them stay in town overnight, Sariel sneaks onboard a casino ship for the evening. Its captain, Khaspere Drylund, takes an interest in her. The following day, Waldek, Boris, and the saddle wagon are left in Yartar as the others head north.
