Vale of the Long Night
The Vale of the Long Night is the demesne of the Archfey Prince of Frost and home to the fey Winter Court. A land of oppressive snowfall, this Domain of Delight is centered on the Fortress of Frozen Tears, which rises from a glacial spire like an icicle. Unlike the vast majority of the Feywild, the Vale is bathed in permanent moonlight from a full moon, which illuminates frozen lakes, barren orchards, and lonely mountains. Cold stars burn in the sky overhead as endless snowflakes fall from the nearly cloudless sky. The Vale became this way after the Prince of Frost had his heart broken by his lover, who fled with a mortal hero beyond the Prince's reach.
