Tall Trees
Tall Trees, also called Teuveamanthaar by elves, is a village located within the High Forest. The village was originally the capital of the ancient empire of Eaerlann, founded in -4550 DR atop the ruins of Aryvandaar. In 882 DR, the city was overrun by demons, as the empire of Eaerlann fell. In the succeeding years, a number of druids of Mielikki came to live in the ruined city. They prevented orcs from occupying the city, and made efforts to maintain the massive trees.
By the late 14th century DR, the druids had been joined in Tall Trees by elves of the Caerilcarn, who wished to see the city of Teuveamanthaar rise once more. As the goals of the druids and elves aligned, they were more than happy to work together to restore the city to its former glory. The village itself is built within massive trees. Houses are constructed on tree branches, with rope bridges connecting them, and a spiral staircase ascending the main trunk. The lowest houses are over one hundred feet from the ground.
