Severin Silrajin Character in Faerûn | World Anvil

Severin Silrajin

Severin Silrajin is a human man and the Red Wyrmspeaker of the Cult of the Dragon, as well as its de facto leader as of 1489 DR. In his youth, he was inspired to carefully retranslate the Chronicle of Years to Come. His own translation discovered that the previous accepted translation, created by Sammaster, was incorrect, and that the Cult of the Dragon should devote itself to living dragons instead of dracoliches. Armed with this knowledge, he managed to befriend an ancient red dragon named Hoondarrh, impressing both the Cult and Tiamat herself. Tiamat granted Severin the knowledge of the Dragon Masks, which could be used to free her from her prison in Avernus. This initiated the event known as the Tyranny of Dragons. However, during the final ritual to summon Tiamat, Severin was killed by adventurers, and his body consumed by the avatar of his goddess partially summoned into the world.
