House Obarskyr
House Obarskyr is the historical ruling family of the Kingdom of Cormyr. The dynasty was founded in 26 DR when Faerlthann Obarskyr became the first king of Cormyr. Although Faerlthann's father, Ondeth, founded the city of Suzail and was offered a crown by the elves of Cormanthyr, he refused.
The Obarskyr dynasty has consistently ruled Cormyr for the centuries since the kingdom's founding. The current head of the dynasty is Queen Raedra Obarskyr I, who became queen of Cormyr in 1486 DR, after the death of two kings and abdication of a third during the Netherese invasion.
