Elemental Plane of Water
The Elemental Plane of Water is one of the four main elemental planes. It is an endless sea, infinitely deep with infinite islands and atolls. Below the surface lie massive expanses of coral reefs that stretch far into the depths. The weather on the plane's surface is either calm or tempestuous, and occasionally rogue waves sweep across the surface, submerging everything in their path. The surface of the plane is called the Sea of Worlds, and is home to most of the unfortunate arrivals to the plane. Just below the surface is the Sea of Light, where most of the native inhabitants such as tritons and merfolk reside. It is also home to the marid, whose emperor rules from the Citadel of Ten Thousand Pearls. Deeper still is the Darkened Depths, where sunlight does not reach. It is home to all kinds of monstrous creatures, most fearsome of which are the krakens. Each of these layers is infinite in size, but can paradoxically be reached by conventional means - as is the case with each of the elemental planes.
