Faed

The Faewild has not recovered since the catastrophic lunar realignment known as "The Collision", which shattered the sun 30 years ago.   Not only has the Faewild withered in the sun's absence, but in attempting to keep it from falling into despair, fossil fuels are being mined from beneath the formerly lush forests and burnt in order to re-appropriate their energies and keep the forests alive. Upon realignment, the world also underwent a phenomenon referred to as "ethereal resonance". The Faewild is now brushing up againt the Realm of the Dead and its presence is felt in everyday life, with the spirits of the deceased causing havoc in the lives of the living.   Sheltered within the Elder Groves, ancient clusters of trees that maintain a habitable atmoshpere, the newly arisen city of Faed is a a dark, industrial, post-nature dystopia, where most struggle just to survive. Corruption runs rampant and much of the city is controlled, in one way or another, by criminals. Inequality is the status quo and hope does not feature the city's vocabulary.   It is in this city that we find our crew of scoundrels, a rag-tag crew looking to carve out a place for themselves in this society and escape the worst of what the city has to offer.
