Gold and Glass X
On one sunny afternoon, Ellette was reading by the window when Terilan approached her. She didn't notice him at first; in fact, he had to clear his throat three times before she finally looked up.
"Oh, my apologies," she said, closing the book. "Have you been waiting long?"
He smiled. "Not at all. I was just wondering if you'd like to go on a trip. We haven't been to the beach since you woke up, have we? It's quite nice this time of year, and there are a few rather private sections. It would be nice to get away from the house for a while, and-"
"Did something happen?" Ellette asked, concerned.
"What? No. Not really. I already asked the captain if this would be okay. I just thought it would be nice. For us. To go somewhere. Together."
Ellette blinked, and was silent for a moment, then smiled. "It does sound nice. When were you thinking of going?"
"This weekend maybe?" Terilan smiled, a bit relieved. "If that's not too soon."
"Not at all. I'll start packing." Ellette set the book aside. "I'm looking forward to it."
