Gold and Glass IX

The next weeks went by without much event. The captain visited a few times, but mostly left them alone. They talked more, and each time they did learned more about each other. On some nights, they went into town, where Terilan's friend would close his restaurant early for them.
But as they had less and less to talk about pertaining to Ellette's past and catching her up to the present, their conversations grew instead more about each other and their lives, their interests.
Things were simple for that time. And without any looming threats or research goals, there was time for other things to grow.
