"Your grace," the Dragon Knight's voice came from the other side of the door.
Eisna opened the door. "Yes, Steliana?"
"The Hummingbird has returned," Steliana told him. "They have a report for you."
Eisna nodded and stepped out of the room. "I'll go myself. Thank you." He closed the door behind him and made his way to the top of the spire. His Dragon was waiting for him there. "Welcome back. I trust you have news to report?"
"Sssomething mosssst interessting," the dragon hissed. "I found nothing."
Eisna raised an eyebrow. "You call that interesting?"
"It'ss ssussspiciouss," Hummingbird went on. "No recordsss. No family. Nothing."
Realization dawned on Eisna. "I see... You didn't find nothing. You found nothing. Well then... That is very suspicious indeed. We may have to keep an eye on this one."
"Yesss," Hummingbird agreed.
"He's not a problem yet. And Temerity likes him. If he becomes more of an issue, we'll deal with him. Until then... Keep an eye on him."
Hummingbird said nothing. Eisna could tell they would have preferred to dispose of the boy immediately, but Eisna knew he wasn't a threat. At the very least, he needed to talk to Temerity first.
