"Prince" Octavius Atlanticus Neptune II (a.k.a. Neptune Jr.)

In a nutshell...

Octavius Atlanticus Neptune Jr. (boy, what a name) is a young Oceanzen Nauctician with a personality like nails on a chalkboard. He's the second son of King Neptune, though we're not sure if that's true. He lives in The Naucilian Kingdom located in the Azure Ocean(location), which is located off the shore of Bluewater. He aspires to rule over land and sea with an iron scepter. Literally, he's got a scepter, but it's just a souvenir from Azure Shores.

This kid sounds kinda like a jerk...

That's because he kiiinda is. Neptune is very boastful and proud, even if it ends up making him look like an idiot. He has a superiority complex, one of being a self-proclaimed "valiant leader and king" to aquatic life and other Oceanzen and a "harbinger of destruction" to land based creatures. As such, he feels entitled to a LOT of things, albeit any efforts to lay claim or dominate or what have you, is usually met with laughs and dismissal. "Boy will be boys" they say. No one really takes him too seriously. He's just a kid.
...Well, second kid to the king, but who's counting?
He does have a better half, he just hates to show it because he thinks it'll make him look weak or silly. Truth be told, the reason why he has ire towards the land lubbers is because of poachers and the like. Naturally, he makes a strong advocate for ocean perservation, to keep the reefs in tact, the fish alive and the Oceanzens safe... or so, he aspires to do so. Maybe when he's older.
Also despite looking foolish a lot of the time, he's actually on the smarter end. He reads a lot of informational things and will watch documentaries often. Loves animals as result, even the creepy ones... well, most of them. He's still skiddish around eels, even though he loves to eat 'em. Other than that, he loves 'em a lot! He was inspired to get a pet Sand Mound Fish after reading about them once. It's name is Goby!

Levi

was a pet for a short time, buuut... well, being a Fluxborn creature, he had to go. Otherwise you'd have 'em blasting all manner of Landlubber with jets of water.
He likes swims amongs the coral reefs around the Kingdom as well, though he actually prefers the ones that haven't been upkept by the groundspeople. It's more natrual looking, you know? He'll bring a whole stack of books with 'em, too. Also lunch. BBQ eel is a huge favorite.

Events of Nerd Union: Start

Some spoilers ahead! Nothing huge, but it does go over the time he met Kenny. If you see "the Azure Shores incident" on this page, this is what I'm talking about. :P

So! Kenny and Neptune, meeting for the first time! They first met shortly after Neptune Jr. found a Star Shard. His Wish was to rule over his own kingdom... specifically a water park called Azure Shores off the shore that faces The Naucilian Kingdom. He's a kid. Of COURSE he'd want to rule over a water park he'd been to, so he used it on that, not really considering a longer term goal.
This was the first time Kenny (and really Neptune) had seen what Flux can do when a unauthorized Wish is made. The Wish amplified Neptune's Riverbending well beyond what most Naucilians are capable of, gave him a variety of water park related Fluxborn at his disposal and warped Azure Shores into a strange and more dangerous version of itself... and more fun, really. Some of the exibits are huge and the fish can somehow swim out of the water in mid-air (albeit they're Fluxborn, so thaaat's not a good thing) and there's secret underwater tunnels and this one thing that drops you from the hotel area, down a slide that leads to the main pool area. Dunno about having the aquarium fused with the swimming area is a good idea, though. None of this is up to code, really. Anyways, anyways...
Kenny, after fighting through the animal based exibits, having a run in with several rouge vending machines and avoiding getting eaten by shark (seriously, the aquarium and the swimming pool don't mix well), they finally met in the Kiddie Pool area, which was now transformed into a kind of throne room, except it was outside, had massive inflatble throne and you know those foam pads you jump from each one to cross a pool? Those, but they led up to the throne, floating over 1 foot of water. Also, Neptune has a giant pooltoy dragon creature he rode on for part of the battle named Levi. It was pretty cool! It had to go, though.

So, imagine a cat desperately keeping balance on a bunch of foam floates in a kiddie pool fighting a water manipulating squid in a blob of water with arms on an inflatable dragon mount. Also, the squid has a giant inflatable Azure Shores branded crown with their mascot on it. Neptune ended up getting frozen in a block of ice from one of the souvenir water guns from on of the vendor stalls. (Comet made Kenny the Icefrog, which is basically a water gun that shoots streams of freezing liquid that can be charged up and shoot blasts of ice. Pays to have someone that can do that!) Riverbend doesn't work on ice, so... that was that. He was taken off by the cops, the wish was UnWished and the day was saved~!
...And that's the story of when Kenny beat up a 12 year old.
Neptune was released some time later, after getting bailed out by his parents. He hasn't changed much since the encounter, though he's refocusing his efforts to more ocean activist realted things.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Neptune isn't very strong, even for a 12 year old. He's more of a bookworm than someone who goes out to play. Does not like going ashore at all. His mind is pretty strong, though, so he uses Riverbending to move around a lot.

Apparel & Accessories

Neptune doesn't wear his "royal" stuff much, not so much in protest, but more so that it's kinda stuffy and uncomfortable to him, so if you see 'em, he'll more than likely be sporting swim trunks.

Neptune, honestly, doesn't have much of a "history", yet. He's only 12, so the only history of note he's got (outside of familiy issues) is that he's royalty, he's spoilt and he's loud. That and the Azure Shores incident.

The reason why he's so hostlie towards land lubbers came about when he learned of an incident involving (WIP: Sorry!)

Accomplishments & Achievements

Neptune is actually very knowledgeable of sea life. You'd think that comes natrual, seeing as he's an Oceanzen, but hey, you've still gotta pay attention in school. He's actually won a couple honor roll type awards and he's actually pretty proud of that. He'll take the recognition!

Hoooooooboy, he gets embarrassed often when he tries to flex his royalty to other people. People don't take him near as seriously and neither does his familiy. To be honest, a lot of what he does is rather silly. You ever try to flex your social status to cut in line for ice cream? You'd get laughed off, especially as a kid.

Mental Trauma

Neptune is a bit attention starved, due to being the less favored of the two kids. He tends to act out to get attention. He's also adopted a superiority complex to mask his lack of self-esteem. We're not sure if the Azure Shroes incident was one or the other.

Well, he's a child. He doesn't really have much as far as morals go, yet.

Taboos

Don't call 'em "Junior". Neptune Junior is fine and you can pick on 'em and call 'em short or something like that, but just "Junior" is a foul and not the fun kind.

Motivation

Neptune wants to rule his own place. He's not the heir and sibling rivalry gets hot in those situations, yo. Seriously, though, he really just wants to run a place of his own and get some recognition, good or bad. The Azure Shroes incident gave him a taste of it, but of course, that's what short lived and for good reason. He's not gonna give up, though!

NERD Union - After the Azure Shores incident and some time after that, they occasionally work cooperatively on protecting the ocean. Usually from poachers.

Family Ties

Neptune comes from a familiy of four. His parents are King Neptune and Queen Neptune and his brother Prince Neptune. He grew up the younger and didn't get as much attention as his older sibling, seeing as the older is the heir. Neptune Jr ended up being a whipping boy of sorts anytime the Prince would act out or do this and that.
They had the same tutor and did a lot of the same things. They both had a lot given to them both, it's just the actual familiy relationship suffered a lot. He would get the aft end of punishments while his brother could get away with a LOT and then Neptune Jr would foot the bill for that. (It has to do with the Prince not being punished, so the punishment is given to a friend or in this case, his brother. That's a whipping boy.) This would happen pretty often in tutoring. His brother, uninterested in learning about whatever, would flunk a lot of tests, where as Neptune would excel quite well... but still get punished. His brother isn't too plussed about it and as sibling rivalry goes, sometimes will fail on purpose just to get back at Neptune for doing well.
So, his relationship with his parents is... complicated. He can't stand his brother, nor does he stand Neptune. On one hand, they do love each other, but on the other, he can't help but resent them for not giving 'em an equal shake.

Social Aptitude

He'sss not very good in social situations. He's not shy, he just doesn't know how to talk to people on the level, having his complex and what not. He'll try to keep it in check, but his pride usually defeats any effort there.

Hobbies & Pets

He has a pet Sand Mound Fish named Goby and he loves him a lot. Goby is a bit fat,a s Neptune spoils him about as much as he's spoilt. He'll jokingly call him his "court jester" sometimes, since he amuses him so much. It's usually allowed to swim about in his bedroom. His parents don't really care too much for pets and Neptune actually snuck Goby in his room for about a month, but seeing as Goby didn't damage anything or cause trouble and Neptune had done well to take care of them, they made an exception... "but don't bring another one home after this!"

Speech

He doesn't swear or anything, but he will talk down to you like a subordinate, even if you're a friend of his... he doesn't have many friends. He doesn't always mean it, as it's become a terrible habit by this point. Sometimes this gets him into trouble with adults.
